Primary Islamic education support teacher

JESS is a well-established, high performing ‘not for profit’ school. We have a position for a full-time Islamic Education Support Teacher (Primary) within our school based in Jumeirah. This position is available for an AY 2022-23 start on a temporary basis for one academic year.

The successful applicant will:

• demonstrate an ability to work effectively with whole classes, small groups and individual pupils
• demonstrate excellent knowledge, expertise and awareness of the UAE Islamic Education curriculum to work effectively with teachers as part of a professional team
• be able to use information and communication technology (ICT) to advance pupils’ learning and use common ICT tools for their own and pupils’ benefit.  Experience of using SeeSaw would be beneficial.
• to enjoy the challenge and be able to commit enthusiastically to meet the needs of all learners
• be a team player with a keen interest in learning and teaching
• have extensive, recent classroom experience
• be qualified for this role, holding a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Education with at least 2 years teaching experience.
