Our vision at JESS Secondary is for all our students to receive the most personal attention possible, with a focus on individualised learning and innovative programmes, where they can make a positive difference to themselves, others and the world around them.
Set on an open campus in Arabian Ranches, students follow an academic pathway that challenges them to be independent, creative problem solvers in a nurturing environment. Our school is about much more than just the classroom curriculum; it is committed to the shared values of our JESS community and strive to find ways to unlock the brilliance in every child.

FOR AGES 11-16
Secondary
As students enter secondary school, they embark on the next path of their educational journey. In Year 7 –9 all students follow courses in Art, Arabic, Science, Mathematics, English, Modern Foreign Languages, Humanities, Physical Education, Design and technology, Drama and Music. Our pastoral programme delivered by Form Tutors covers Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education, as well as providing opportunities to discuss current topics. As the students move towards Year 10, they are guided towards making choices for iGCSE, GCSE & BTEC courses with external examinations taken at the end of Year 11.
FOR AGES 16-18
Sixth Form
The Sixth Form is the culmination of a student’s high school journey which takes place over Years 12 and 13 (Grade 11 and 12 in US/Australian systems). At JESS we offer two pathways which cater to our students’ needs: the IB Diploma Programme which is a broad, holistic academic programme of study and the BTEC International Level 3 Extended Diploma which is a more focused educational pathway centering around a main subject area (either Art & Design, Business, or Sports). Both programmes of study offer our students direct entry qualifications to tertiary institutions from around the world.
